Weekend: WEARWhere (x2)

Unfortunately, this weekend I was only able to spend a couple of hours with my blog buddy, and alas, had to post my own Weekend: WEARWhere update.  This past Saturday I did, however, get the chance to wine and dine with some of my other, most stylish friends.  (Girls, I apologize in advance for the absence of the pictures we took.  They just did not turn out).
Mumm Napa Brut Rose, $20, The Fresh Market
We started the evening at my house with some tall glasses of Mumm Rose.  At 20 bucks a pop, this sparkling wine is the perfect aperatif.  Add some sliced strawberries or muddled fruits (a la Cumin brunch) and you have a super-chic pre-game...just beware of how fast it goes down (I've certainly made that mistake before).

After drinks, we set our sights on one of my very favorite restaurants, La Poste (La Poste Eatery, Clifton).  Think mussels in tomato-herb broth, soppressata salad with truffle vinaigrette and berry coulis, or salmon with maple-Dijon Brussels sprouts and cauliflower.  Add an amazing wine list and a cozy, inviting ambiance, and you're set.
Left to Right: Necklace, Erickson Beamon (Barney's); La Poste cherry bread pudding (like cracked-out French toast); Outfit, Top, Vince (Saks); Pants, Alexander Wang (Barney's); Pearls (costume, purchased at Three French Hens, Hyde Park Square); Purse, Chanel (Saks); Shoes, Miu Miu (Saks, ca. 2007)
I spent way too long trying to figure out what to wear for my first solo brighteyed post, so hopefully, it was successful!  Certainly, the Miu Miu suede pumps were much more appropriate than my 6-year old/beat up/salt-stained Uggs, worn to walk my dog before dinner.  Definitely head-turning...

Enjoy!
